1996 SHELTER PROJECT , Allihies, Beara, County Cork, Ireland.   Stone was quarried by hand from the mountain to make the 3.2m square shelter which is an integral part of a project to create anchorite living spaces for visiting artists. Made in collaboration with the Danish artist Alfio Bonanno on the site of a mountain overlooking the sea. Commissioned for the Wilderness Sanctuary and financially assisted by the Irish Arts Council and the European Union through a Kaleidoscope grant.
