These
works were made during a one week residency in a beech wood
connected to Hiram College, Ohio.
The residency was connected to the college ‘Art and
Ecology’ class. Students from the College and local
High Schools, visited and participated in the project.‘
River
Styx’ was made from placed beech twigs in the dried
up creek bed. As it was Autumn we made mushroom spore prints
on glass slides, and projected the image back onto the forest
at night.
A
short video film was made of the spore print image reflected
off the moving water in the creek onto an old rock wall.
