1996 OKAWA VILLAGE PROJECT, Kochi Province, Shikoku Island, Japan.   FIRE MOUNTAIN CAIRN This hollow cairn was built on a large flat boulder overlooking a forested valley and mirrors the shape of distant volcanic peaks. It is constructed of stacked green slate slices in a herring-bone pattern. A fire was lit inside and the work photographed.
